Cats are supremely elegant creatures, and many owners look to outfit their pet with cat supplies befitting that elegance. There are the simple things, such as a collar, and food. But there are other things that are a more substantial investment, and they make a larger impact on your cat’s life than what collar they wear.

A prime example is a scratching post tree. It is a particular type of cat supply; it combines a playground, a gym, and a house for your cat. A simple scratching post is just an opportunity for your cat to strengthen their claws, but the tree includes hollowed out areas for your cat to relax in, as well as multiple levels for your cat to explore. If you have multiple cats, it can even function somewhat like a cat apartment complex.

If you’re after something a little smaller, you can try a catnip toy. Catnip is an herb that has a strange effect on cats. They go absolutely nuts for it. Putting catnip inside a toy that a cat needs to work at to get inside gives the cat a great mental challenge. They will work at the toy until they get the catnip out. A common sight is for a cat to rub it on their whiskers, which is just about the most adorable thing you can imagine.
