Pet Beds
Everyone likes a nice place to sleep, and your pets are no exception. Some pets are social animals, and will try to sleep with you, if you let them. Others will occupy a piece of furniture, such as a couch, armchair, or ottoman; taking it and claiming it as their own. There is a way to avoid this however. You can simply buy pet beds for your pets rather than fighting over the use of your furniture.
The transition from couch to fido’s own pet bed is a relatively easy one. Take toys, keep them with the pet bed, and shower your pet with praise when they go to the bed. You may also have to scold them when they get up on the furniture, but the positive reinforcement for the good behavior is a far better motivator for pets than negative reinforcement on the poor behavior is.
But what do pet beds look like? Well, in a word: anything. You can get pet beds that look just like miniature 4 post beds, complete with a flowery upholstery on them. You can get a well padded rug for your old hound to lay on so they don’t have to try getting up anything, stressing their hips and knees.
