Pet Grooming Supplies

Pet grooming supplies are an essential part of pet ownership. Some pets, such as lizards, are largely self-grooming. A snake for example merely sheds a skin when they outgrow it, allowing them to grow in girth for the next few months. When the new skin is too small, they shed that one too. So the only “supplies” you end up needing are your hands and the trash, to remove the shed skins.

Dogs on the other hand require a little more investment in pet grooming supplies to keep clean. Starting at the ends of the dog, you have nails. Dog nails need to be clipped, which is often a task that is best left for professional groomers. If you cut the quick of the nail, it bleeds profusely and you need a blocking agent to stem the flow.

Moving up from the nails to the coat brings up still other pet grooming supplies.  You need shampoo and a brush to properly groom a dog’s coat. You want to avoid over washing your dog, the most frequently you should be bathing them is once every other week. You can brush them every day, depending on the thickness of their coat, and how much they are shedding.
