Pet Supplies

If you are an experience pet owner, you know that there are many costs associated with pets that aren’t readily apparent at first brush. For one, your pets need to eat. Food is the single largest post-acquisition expense of a healthy pet, on things like dogs and cats, it isn’t normally a huge one. But for an animal like a horse, the feed is a much larger investment each year than even buying the horse.

Food is one of a remarkably small number of constants in pet ownership. Many other pet supplies are species dependant. Dogs don’t need catnip and birds don’t need chew toys. Cats don’t need seeds and rodents don’t need to be walked. Having the right supplies for the pets you own makes the difference between a happy pet and an owner’s headache.

Why, you might ask. Why does an unhappy pet make for an owner’s headache? Well, pets who are unhappy tend to engage in self-destructive behaviors. Birds pluck out feathers obsessively and screech. Dogs tear into the garbage, the upholstery, anything they can get their hands on… and they howl. Cats shred curtains and couches, armchairs, pillows, or anything handy. And if you think a screeching bird or howling dog is a tough thing to listen to, then you haven’t heard a pissed off cat before. All of these things can be avoided by simply having the proper pet supplies to take good care of your pet. Oftentimes the difference between a destroyed house and a well mannered pet is a mere toy or two.
